Before I ever picked up a squeegee, I'd sold water at Grateful Dead shows, run an Internet Service Provider, taught computers, and spent ten years as a financial advisor. Looking back, every job had one thing in common: I loved the people.
When the economy took my clients' savings (and my paycheck with them) I didn't wait around for someone else to fix it. In 2010 I hung up the suit, bought good walking shoes and a squeegee, and started knocking on doors. With four kids to feed, it had to work.
It did. What I loved about helping families with their finances turned out to be just as true helping them with their homes.

Anyone can wipe the outside of the glass. But unless you take out the screen and scrub it, clean the dirt out of the tracks, wash the outside and the inside, and wipe down the sill, you haven't really had your windows cleaned.
My wife still wonders how I can be this obsessive about a window when my socks never make it into the hamper. Call it selective OCD. :)
